What Clearwater Tampa Social Media Is NOT
Here is the really hard part about social media marketing…it is not linear. It used to be if you bought a bigger yellow page ad than everyone else, you got more calls. Today, you need to be an SEO genius (seriously, how many different ways can people search for your company offerings?), a researcher to find great related content that you can post, a writer to have things to offer, a videographer to shoot fun, engaging videos of yourself and MORE…WOW!
We would love to say that you can start today and have a huge social media empire tomorrow or that you will get a gagillion blog hits in a month. Those things just aren’t true…nor is the fact that you can get ranked on page one of google, or that you are guaranteed to ANYTHING ONLINE. The only people who could guarantee you of those things own the websites and even they don’t do that!
So what should you do?
- Get really good at social media. Study for hours a day, post frequently, monitor your social media properties and keep up with all the changes that happen on almost a daily basis OR…
- Hire your nephew who is “really good at computers” to do your social media marketing, even though he has no marketing experience what-so-ever and would rather be out with his friends
- Hire “SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERTS” who jumped on the bandwagon last year, took a class and hung a shingle saying they are experts (free tip – ask how long they have been doing this!)
